WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs EVERTON (1500)
The Toffees are still in deep shit, while their hosts have done well to make it to safety well before the end of the season. Everton will go for it, but have they got what it takes? Manuel.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST vs ARSENAL (1730)
Forest have done incredibly well to put three points between themselves and the bottom three. But goal difference isn’t on their side and they’ve got a tricky trip to Palace to end the season with. Arsenal’s title aspirations, which were so much more than aspirations just a few weeks ago, have gone up in smoke. The Forest groundsman has been fined and suspended by the FA for being naughty before a game in November. Nobody’s safe any more: Doris the tea lady, take note. That aside, this is a very interesting fixture and with home advantage you have to fancy Forest to be in with a shout for a point. Manuel.

WEST HAM UNITED vs LEEDS UNITED (1330)
BFS returns to East London and a heartfelt welcome surely awaits. But things don’t look good for his side, who are in urgent need of points and goals from today and Spurs a week later. We, on the other hand, have things of an altogether higher magnitude to occupy us. Depending on other results, Leeds could be relegated today. Expect a battle. Manuel.
BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION vs SOUTHAMPTON (1400)
Realistically, the Seagulls have the Conference League to aim for. They should make it with a game in hand and a point advantage over Spurs and Villa. The Saints may want to give their youths a taste of top flight football. It may not come again. Home win.
MANCHESTER CITY vs CHELSEA (1600)
A win today will give City the title in their last home game of the season. They’ll be tears in north London. Home win.

Funnily enough am just watching something called High Performance Podcast on BT Sport 3 where Jake Humphrey & another bloke are interviewing the Brighton CEO Paul Barber.
Very impressive guy talking about their strategy & methods & interesting that it started with their goal to thrive in the Premier league playing ENTERTAINING football.
Was the main reason they let Chris Hughton go.
As has been mentioned they have people lined up to replace everyone of importance. Barber reckoned they tracked the 20-25 most important people at the club and had a replacement in the building or identified ..... David Weir for Dan Ashworth, Caicedo for Bissouma, Estupian for Cucurella , DeZerbi for Potter etc etc
Karren Brady is nominally our CEO .... chalk and cheese. She could never have this conversation

Brighton finding gems is not a knack, it’s about having a proper system in place. They will know who to go out and buy as soon as a player in any position leaves the club including the manager. They will also have a backup and a third choice already identified to.

As much as I don't want to see Rice go, we should embrace the fact that we can develop players and use the money to get better ones.
I don't think Brighton or Brentford feel like their world would fall apart if they sold any of their players for 100m.
But we kind of think we will be finished somewhat..
It's a bit odd. I suppose it's because we haven't been that good with transfers in general that we are worried we won't do anything good with the Rice money? Rather than just that Rice will be sold,
Also a hangover of seeing so many of our top players in 1 generation win titles outside of West Ham. (Carrick,cole,Kanoute etc)

Yes, Brighton certainly have the knack of finding gems and getting top price.
You can imagine DeZerbi will be in big demand and these small teams with the golden touch always have a period where their luck runs out ... Southampton, Swansea etc
That said Brighton & Brentford seem to be well run clubs who are embarrassing many others with massively bigger resources

They sold Ben White for £50m too... and £25m for Trossard... plus about £12m for Dan Burn (which by itself pretty much covered the cost of Mitoma, Caicedo and MacAllister)
Then there's the quality of the football they currently play. Not a backwards step. Ever
